The HLTAID012 course is ideal for educators, support staff, childcare workers, and careers of children. This course is also suitable for anybody working in daycare, family daycare, pre-school and after-school programs and care services. The Australian Children’s Education & Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) has endorsed the HLTAID012 as satisfying all educator requirements for First Aid, Anaphylaxis Management and Emergency Asthma Training as outlined in the National Regulations.

This course will provide you with the skills and knowledge required to provide emergency first aid, life support, and management of casualty(s) in a range of situations commonly found in the education and care industry.

The Bright College delivers this course with ALL of the content of HLTAID011 Provide First Aid PLUS common infant and child ailments such as febrile convulsion, fever, vomiting, diarrhoea and dehydration.

After completion of this course, you will be issued with a certificate of Attainment which is Nationally recognised training that cover below accredited Unit of Competencies:

  • HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
  • HLTAID011 Provide first aid.
  • HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education and care setting.

In line with Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines, HLTAID011 Provide First Aid should be updated every 3 years and HLTAID009 every 12 months.
